DO YOU TRAVEL?
I do. I’m based in Leighton Buzzard in Bedfordshire, but I love to travel & I journey all over the UK to photograph weddings as well as abroad for destination weddings. I’ve photographed couples & weddings in Las Vegas, NYC, St Lucia, Thailand, Iceland, France, Ibiza, Italy & Germany to date. The fashion photographer in me loves a good landscape & hazy light! You can see my travel dates here & I will always add new destinations to my schedule – get in touch to speak to me about your plans & we can discuss everything for you.
WHAT’S ON YOUR WISH LIST?
I love alternative couples & non-conforming weddings. Same-sex marriages, elopements, unusual venues, outdoor wedding ceremonies, destination weddings, coloured wedding dresses, floral crowns… all of these & more, please.
IS PHOTOGRAPHY YOUR ONLY JOB?
Yes. I’ve been self-employed solely through photography for almost 7 years now. Prior to that I worked as Photography Studio Manager for ASOS.com for 2 years & Studio Manager/Photographer at Figleaves.com for 18 months, also photographing for freelance clients on the side of both day jobs. And before that, I was taking on freelance clients for the last 2 years of my University degree. So, I’ve been doing this photography thing ‘properly’ for more than 10 years now & loving it more as time goes on!
CAN WE SEE A FULL WEDDING THAT YOU’VE PHOTOGRAPHED?
Yes! I think it’s really important that you view a number of full wedding days to see the consistency in photography throughout the day. For this reason I don’t have a wedding highlights gallery, just full weddings in my weddings gallery. Take a look through a few & I recommend looking at some that take place at a similar venue (or the same) to yours… enjoy!
HAVE YOU PHOTOGRAPHED AT OUR VENUE BEFORE?
The vast majority of my weddings are at venues that I have not photographed at before. In fact, I think I have only photographed at the same venue twice to date. I like this because it means I go into each wedding with a fresh pair of eyes & a hunger for creativity, rather than going through the motions. Each wedding day to me is special because each story is different & that is what I want to capture for you – your story rather than just the location. All the elements of every wedding, right down to the weather & the light, are different & I love that because it keeps me creatively inspired!
DO WE GET ANY PRINTS WITH OUR PACKAGE?
My package includes your digital files as high resolution (which means you can print them as you wish) as well as a few hard copy prints to get you started. You get full printing rights included with your package & the file sizes are big enough to print as wallpaper, if you feel so inclined!
WHAT IF OUR GUESTS WANT SOME PHOTOS?
To make things easier for you, I upload all your retouched images to a password-protected online gallery. You can share this link with your guests, family & friends so they can view your images & order prints if they wish. The photos will be printed through my preferred print lab, meaning that the paper stock & colour calibration show off your photographs to their very best!
ARE YOU INSURED?
Yes, I’m fully insured with both Public Liability Insurance as well as Indemnity Insurance – sometimes your wedding venue may need to know that.
DO WE NEED TO FEED YOU?
Yes please. Weddings are very long days so a bite to eat keeps me fuelled & a little pudding is always appreciated – by that point in the day, I need the sugar boost! No-one likes their picture being taken when they’re eating, so when you sit down to eat I’ll take a 30 minute break, too & then gear-up ready for your speeches.
WE’RE NOT SURE IF WE WANT AN ENGAGEMENT SHOOT…?
That’s totally up to you & is why I offer engagement shoots as an add-on. The pros? It’s a great chance for you to feel comfortable in front of the camera & to get some great images for Save The Dates or display on your wedding day in frames/as a guestbook. It’s also a good chance to get creative – an engagement shoot is around 1.5 hours, whereas on your wedding day we’ll only have about 20 minutes for your portraits together.
I have also on a wedding day been known as (& not limited to) schedule co-ordinator, button hole pinner, groom-calmer, drinks-pourer for flower girls, safety-pin/gum/perfume giver, double-decker-bus returner, shoe-lender as well as numerous other titles both before & after the wedding. Basically, I’ve got your back during your whole booking process with me & on your wedding day. For all bookings, I send out my wedding photography planning guide. This is jammed full with information & hints & tips to make your day as smooth as possible & your photographs as awesome as they can be!
