GOT A QUESTION?
I've put together some frequently asked questions that you might want to know, and I'm happy to help any time with any further questions you may have!
IT'S A BIG DEAL CHOOSING A WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER - YOU HAVE TO FEEL IN SAFE HANDS!
WE DON'T LIKE HAVING OUR PHOTO TAKEN - IS THAT OK?
DO YOU TRAVEL?
Yes! I’m based in Buckinghamshire, which is a short train journey from London. I love to travel & I journey all over the UK to photograph weddings as well as abroad for destination weddings. I’ve photographed couples & weddings in Hawaii, Paris, Iceland, South of France, Venice, NYC, Las Vegas, St Lucia, Santorini, Thailand, Malta, Ibiza and Sri Lanka to date. The fashion photographer in me loves a good landscape & hazy light! I am always happy to add new destinations to my schedule, both in the UK and abroad – get in touch to speak to me about your plans & we can discuss everything for you.
I PROMISE you that 90% of my couples say this when they first get in touch with me! The key is to capture you relaxed and comfortable, and I have many tricks when capturing your couple photographs so that you look natural and even ENJOY having your photographs taken. Yes, really! When you look back on your wedding photos, you'll remember how happy you were in that moment... as well as getting some great photographs of you both! The vast majority of your wedding day you won't even realise I'm there.
CAN WE SEE A FULL WEDDING THAT YOU’VE PHOTOGRAPHED?
IS PHOTOGRAPHY YOUR ONLY JOB?
Of course! I think it’s really important that you view a number of full wedding days to see the consistency in photography throughout the whole wedding day. For this reason I put a lot (lot!) of images in my blog posts and I'm always happy to share full wedding galleries with you before booking. I'm completely transparent about how I work and with all the photographs I deliver to couples. Take a look through a few blog posts & get in touch if you'd like to see full galleries. I recommend looking at some that take place at a similar venue (or the same) to yours… enjoy!
It is. I’ve been self-employed full-time doing photography for over 11 years now, with wedding photography being my main business focus for the past 6 years. Prior to being self-employed I worked as Photography Studio Manager for ASOS.com for 2 years & Studio Manager/Photographer at Figleaves.com for 18 months before I became self-employed, also photographing for freelance clients on the side of both day jobs. And before that, I was taking on freelance clients for the last 2 years of my University degree (BA Hons Photography).
WE’RE NOT SURE IF WE WANT AN ENGAGEMENT SHOOT…?
HAVE YOU PHOTOGRAPHED AT OUR VENUE BEFORE?
That’s totally up to you & is why I offer engagement shoots as an add-on. The pros? It’s a great chance for you to feel comfortable in front of the camera & to get some great images for your stationery or print to display on your wedding day in frames/as a guestbook. It’s also a good chance to get creative – an engagement shoot is around 1 hour, whereas on your wedding day we’ll only have about 20 minutes for your portraits together. I do notice a difference with how comfortable couples are on a wedding day if they have an engagement shoot beforehand, as they relax into it more quickly.
The vast majority of my weddings are at venues that I have not photographed at before. In fact, in 272 weddings I have only photographed at the same venue a handful of times. I much prefer working this way because it means I go into each wedding with a fresh pair of eyes & a hunger for creativity, rather than going through the motions. Each wedding day to me is special because each story is different & that is what I want to capture for you – your story rather than just the location. All the elements of every wedding, right down to the weather & the light, are different & I love that because it keeps me creatively inspired and means I capture your unique wedding story!
WE LOVE YOUR WORK, HOW DO WE BOOK YOU?
