Rome engagement shoot, Italy

London wedding elopement photographer – Pantheon, Trevi Fountain & Villa Bourghese engagement photoshoot in Rome, Italy – Kayley & Michael

‘Sometimes it knocks the breath right out of me, realising how lucky I am to be here & alive with you. To be the one you feel safe with. To be the one whose bones you curl up into when it’s cold. To be the one whose mouth you drowsily kiss when you are half asleep in my arms’ – Beau Taplin

Michael proposed to his love Kayley under the pillars of the ancient Pantheon, in his hometown of Rome. New Zealander Kayley had adventured to Italy for a year & never left. She found love in Michael & the pair eloped in the city of Rome, ahead of a Tuscany villa wedding, & it was a real delight to photograph them in such a beautiful setting. Rome is one of my favourite cities in the world – everywhere you look there is beauty & magic. It’s a city you can walk & get lost in for hours, always something new to marvel at, & to be an elopement wedding photographer in Rome is a complete wonder . We met at 6am one Thursday morning as the sunlight was rising over the Pantheon square & began photographing on the very spot Kayley told Michael ‘YES!’. We wandered the cobbled streets, passing the ever-stunning Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, beautiful Via Margutta, Piazza del Popolo & spent time biking around Villa Bourghese, a park that the couple frequent. What is clear to me most is how Michael utterly & completely worships Kayley – that powerful soulmate kind of love you find unexpectedly during an adventure to the other side of the world! It was a complete delight to spend the morning photographing the couple & we finished up in true Italian style with pasta & wine at Dilla – if you have never had truffle-oil linguine, you must try it! Nx

If you are planning your wedding or elopement in Italy or anywhere else in Europe, I would love to be your photographer… Please do get in touch here. Nx
