Rome engagement photographer – Piazza Navona, Ponte Sant’Angelo & Vatican City engagement photography in Rome, Italy – April & Grant
Rome engagement photography at Piazza Navona & Ponte Sant’Angelo in Italy
Rome is my absolute, hands-down, without-question favourite city in the world! Earlier this year I visited Rome for the 5th time, to capture Kayley and Michael’s elopement wedding photoshoot. Kayley’s friend April got in touch to book an engagement photoshoot in Rome with her love, Grant, to capture some photographs of them in the city. Rome is the city they call home and they wanted some photographs together before they relocated to April’s home country of USA. We met at Piazza Navona before the crowds descended to photograph there, before taking a slow walk through the cobbled backstreets towards the River Tiber and Pont Sant’Angelo. The pastel colour palette of Rome always takes my breath away and the weather for April and Grant’s Rome engagement photoshoot was perfect!
A relaxed engagement photoshoot at Vatican City in Rome
Grant works at Vatican City, so we decided to take our walk past Castel Sant’Angelo and take some photographs amongst the columns surrounding Piazza San Pietro (St Peter’s Square). On arrival it seemed the whole of Rome had also decided to visit Vatican City that morning – I’m not sure I’ve ever had an engagement photoshoot with so many people milling around! Luckily most of the tourists were gathering in the main square and queueing for St Peter’s Basilica, so we made the most of the rising sun playing between the columns.
April and Grant, it was ever my pleasure to capture your Rome engagement photography for you. May these wonderful memories keep in your heart. Lots of love, Natalie xx
