ST PAUL’S CATHEDRAL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY – A STYLISH, COLOURFUL WEDDING AT THE OYSTER SHED IN LONDON
St Paul’s Cathedral wedding photography London
Becca found me at the Most Curious Wedding Fair and spoke to me excitedly about her wedding plans to fiancé Edward for their St Paul’s Cathedral wedding photography London. We all met up for a glass of wine (or three) and a good chat about all their plans. Not just anyone can have their wedding at St Paul’s Cathedral; you must have a family connection to be married there in the Chapel of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, which is in the crypt beneath the main Cathedral. The resting place of Sir Christopher Wren, the designer of St Paul’s Cathedral, lays in the Chapel and having the beautiful Baroque building tattooed on my thigh this was one wedding I was looking forward to photographing with a huge heap of love and excitement!
A stylish, colourful London wedding with a Lihi Hod two-piece wedding gown
Lihi Hod was Becca’s wedding dress designer of choice and the bride decided on a gorgeous 2-piece with a beaded top and full silk skirt complete with pockets! A wedding dress with pockets was perfect for Becca to keep her sunglasses in, as the couple’s June wedding day rolled around in a blaze of sunshine and blue skies over London. The bridal party looked modern and stylish in a range of jewel-coloured gowns and suits, accessorised with huge blooms by Wild Fox who also decorated The Oyster Shed wedding venue with a shower of floral arrangements. As a London wedding photographer it’s always an honour to be part of such a relaxed and fun-filled wedding day as Becca and Edward’s celebration was. The couple walked through the sunshine from their ceremony venue of St Paul’s Cathedral to their reception venue The Oyster Shed, on the banks of the river Thames near London Bridge. Becca and Edward added lots of special touches to their wedding day, including gold-painted oyster shells for salt and pepper and handmade candles in oyster shells as favours for their guests. Huge thank you to my amazing second shooter, Kylee, for all your help on the wedding day.
